KG Soccer - La Presa Elementary

Thank you for your interest in the KG Soccer Program! All interested students will be added to a waitlist and notified of their placement status by November 6.

KG Soccer brings high-quality, professional sports coaching directly to public school campuses to eliminate "pay-to-play" barriers and expand athletic access. Delivered in partnership with the La Mesa-Spring Valley School District’s ESS Expanded Learning Programs, our program uses soccer as a vehicle to teach teamwork, resilience, discipline, and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL). Through dedicated training sessions, co-ed player development, and friendly inter-school competition, students learn to grow together, handle wins and losses with grace, and build confidence both on and off the pitch.

The program includes:

• 14 on-campus after-school training sessions led by vetted, background-checked coaches (maintaining at least a 1:20 coach-to-student ratio).
• Complete gear and equipment, including soccer balls, cones, and goals provided at every session.
• 1 full official uniform (jersey and shorts) for every participating student.
• A district-wide Final Championship Tournament featuring referees, structured competition, and an end-of-season awards ceremony with trophies and medals.

Program Cost & Funding

This program is 100% FREE to families and is funded through our Extended Student Services / Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ESS/ELO-P). Enrollment in the traditional daily ESS program is not required to participate. Space is limited!

Important Program Policies

• Attendance Policy: Because space is limited and demand is high, consistent attendance is required. If a student accumulates two (2) or more unexcused absences, they may be dropped from the program to allow another student on the waitlist to participate. Excused absences include illness, medical appointments, and family emergencies. Please communicate any absences in advance with your ESS site lead.
• Weather & Holiday Cancellations: In the event of rain, severe weather, or unexpected school closures, KG Soccer and ESS will coordinate make-up training dates as campus scheduling permits.
